Personally, I think Aquaman has been pretty good. It's apparent Johns is focusing on this book (due to the contrast between this and Justice League).

But that's just my opinion, so you should listen to it

+1 on Aquaman

I just finished reading the Animal Man v. 1 trade, and I was really disappointed. When you look at Lemire's work on Essex County and Sweet Tooth, Animal man just seemed like a tangled mess of a plot line. I'm not a fan of overly precocious children, and the 4-year old in this one is right up there. I also found the artwork really off-putting. The inking was excessive in many spots resulting in almost blurry depictions, and it just didn't click for me. In some ways, the book seemed like I was jumping on in the middle of some major multi-issue story arc. The problem is this was the first couple of issues of the new reboot... not exactly a smooth way to start things off...

I have been actively following the Batman series, and this is probably one of the best examples of contemporary superhero comics out today. Snyder truly seems to get the character quite well, Capullo's art is absolutely solid, and the coloring is well-matched to the content. I also love the fact they were able to start things off with an entirely new foe and make this organization seem completely threatening and viable.

As much as I like the new Batman book that fact that DC are trying to sell us the story that the Court of Owls have been around for over a hundred years and this is the first time that any of the super hero folk have encountered them is fairly ridiculous.

Plus, if the good folk at DC had wanted a genuine reboot of their universe this would have been the perfect time to get rid of some of those dull old secondary characters that drag down the major titles - Jimmy Olsen, Lois Lane (yes, even Lois and give Supes a new love interest) the dull Lex Luthor and all those Bat characters that just dilute the importance of Batman.

In this New 52 Universe, super heroes have only been around about 5 years. I think the story is possible.

So, in this 5 years how many Robin's have there been?

I guess the issue of a secretive organization that's able to hide under the radar isn't a problem for me in a world of superheroes. I was more taken aback by the presence of all three Robins when I was under the impression that the heroes had only "been in business" for a few short years prior to the beginning of the New 52. But this isn't a major flaw to hold the title back. If we were dealing with the old 44-page long issues, yeah, I would have liked to gotten that by now. But I'm willing to wait.

I'm still unclear on that issue. I know there's Richard Grayson and Damian Wayne. Haven't been following Teen Titans or Red Hood and the Outlaws, so I don't know about Tim Drake or Jason Todd.
