Hi roulette. What defines "must keys", if I may ask? Although there are so-called "key" issues related to first appearances et al., the "must haves" have also a variable element due to the stories quality. Often better stories (both in terms of writing and art) are overlooked in favor of mediocre "first appearance" issues.
I think all those things have the risk of create unnecessary hype around certain issues which wouldn’t otherwise exist.
To me, for example, the Fantastic Four issues with the birth of Warlock storyline are better than some of the Silver Surfer ones. Also, the Inhumans and the Black Panther early stories are largely underrated.

It certainly is variable, my Italian friend!! It will always mean different things to different people.....I like the books recognized for their significance for the hobby!

Yes I think this list can be considered, 'must haves' or 'keys' because a large group of hobbyists can look at these books, as roulette has already said, and say these books have had a significant impact on the hobby. This has nothing to do with personal opinion about the quality of the book just that it holds a significant place in the book or a specific characters history.
After that then you can add books to this list which are important to you and are 'must haves' to you personally, because in you opinion those books are worthy of being 'key books'.

15/31 for me and yet, not a SINGLE DC of the bunch (though I did own a SC22 for a short period of time).

Aside from the two books listed, there's really nothing else that I *must* have from the Silver Age
Let me fix that for you.
