Wow, I am truly saddened by this.

I am so thankful for having the opportunity to meet him at the Pittsburgh Comic Con two years ago. I brought about 40 books for him to sign, and he took his time and autographed each one while we talked. This was a real highlight for me. He's always been a legend in my eyes, mostly because he was very active at the time when I was getting into comics as a kid. I look at his work with some nostalgia, and I'm sure I will continue to do so.

Sunday, May 20th--Viewing beginning at 5pm, Vigil at 7pm at Chapel of the Chimes (4499 Piedmont Ave. Oakland, CA 94611)

Monday, May 21st--Funeral Service at 11am at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church (3695 High St. Oakland, CA 94619).
