Chan was one of the first artists I remember from when I originally got into comics back in the early ' 70s. I always enjoyed his work - a sad loss. \:\(

I was a big Ernie Chan fan. I never got to meet him, but I have several SS books. Other than Gil Kane, he was my favorite cover artist from the 70's and his work for marvel was just as prolific and good as it was for DC.

RIP, Ernie.

Very sad news. I always thought that his Hulk covers were some of the best of the run.

Scan compliments of Clink (yes, kind of giant, but a cover worth making a giant scan of)
