In olden times years ago, when you put a man in prison behind the bars in a jailhouse, if you had fifteen or twenty-five or thirty dollars you could save him from the gallows pole 'cause they gonna hang him if you don't bring up a little money. Everybody would come to the jailhouse and boy would ran upside the jail; he was married, too. As for who brang him something, lot of comfort, here comes his mother.

No problem man. I don't know if it's hard to find, just hard to afford! If I had the loot, I could get copies this morning.
Agree with that 100%. It seems to be fairly "available" if not "common". Plus I think it's heating up price-wise because of the rumored movie. I bought my loooo-grade copy here on the boards and I'm thrilled to have it. Good luck!
That movie is not happening and won't happen for the foreseeable future. Very important book that i just think a lot of people are finally giving the value it deserves.
I would not say it is only just now getting recognized for its value. For the vast majority of the past 40 years, Showcase #4 has been the #1 most valuable and important book of the silver age. AF 15 overtook it a few years ago due to demand, but as people realize that Showcase 4 is far more scarce (and historically important) it is getting another little bump to narrow that recent gap with AF 15 just a little bit.

I have been after a #4 for years with no joy. I need 3 issues to complete Showcase, 4, 6 & 13, when I find a nice affordable one someone makes it unaffordable, I am beginning to feel like I will never get one. Passed on a few over the years because of price, I would pay them prices all day now.
