Wow, really, really hard to grade these
The 454 (with toucan) appears to be VF. There is the wear (discolouration) on the cow, and missing details on the toucan. For comaparison you might look at HiHoAudio's in his custom set (yes, I peeked). Still an attracive coin in a competitive series.
The 455 (with CoA) appears to have had a hard afterlife. I would want to wait till after conservation to attempt a grade (plus I have one with remarkable toning that I am bias toward ), but if I had to assign a grade it might go as high as EF ... just soooo hard to see the details in this photo.

Are we looking at the same photos? The toucan token looks like an AU to me, the one with the green-nasty looks VF or EF Details (corrosion).

brg5658,
Look at HiHo's 454 example in his custon registry set. link I might have gone higher with the grade, assuming a soft strike, if HiHo's didnt grade at XF45 (or maybe HiHo should ask for a regrade?), but it appears to have better details on the toucan breast and not as many marks on the obverse.
I didn't pay too much for these, so I wouldn't be surpised if HiHo's is in better shape. I would say the Tucan would be XF45-AU-50 and the 455 an xf40-45

Jobessi,
It's possible for the 454 to grade that high depending on the luster but especially on the reverse (soft strike) .... here is hopeing for the best for you
Please repost the 455 after you get it back from conservation ... I am still trying to figure out how much they can do with copper.

I'm certainly no expert on these, but the detail on the bottom/middle of the Toucan appears to be mushy because of a soft strike, not because of wear. The high relief of both the ox and the toucan at the same place in the coin could mean that on this issue the metal simply wouldn't completely flow into the die? I'm just hypothesizing. The pictures are too small to tell for sure.
The 2nd one looks damaged to me. Often this green death takes part of the surface with it when they try to remove it. In that case, it would/should details holder as corroded.

I don't have a issue with your logic. I agree the strike in other areas appears very nice indeed, but not being able to see luster make it rather difficult to grade, and so I based my photo grade assuming the discoloured portions indicated wear ... in hand is always more accurate.
I also agree with you on the 455 likely receiving details ... that green may not be PVC damage but rather bronze disease .... hopefully NCS can do wonders

I think you are pretty darn close with these grades.
I just got back 14 coins from NGC, all Swiss Shooting Medals (my other passion) and Pidcock's tokens, and will post photos of the Pidcock's (including a nice 455) as soon as life permits. For the record your 455 has a better reverse strike.
