You mean Wendy and Marvin with their dog? Wonder Dog was it? Those two came first. That first Superfriends show was lame, lame, lame. Wonder Twins came later.
Challenge of the Superfriends was the best version of all, imo.

When I was around 5, Spider Man and his Amazing Friends was my favorite cartoon.
When I was a teenager, I loved the X-Men animated series on Fox. Its on Netflix right now and from time to time I sit down with my 4 year old and watch it.
As for Batman - I really liked Batman Beyond.

If you have never seen the Fleischer Superman cartoons from the 1940s, you should go out and get them today. They are remarkable, and a stunning quality for the time, very similar to the early classic Disney animation. Several World War 2 stories, and some stories are adapted from the comics. I know Superman #15 is one of them.
I also really like the Fox series Superman & the Legion of Super-Heroes that came out a few years ago.

This was what I grew up on living in England. My parents spent £40 on two VHS tapes of the show. I think each had two episodes on them. Apparently as a kid I knew the lines backwards and forwards.
So I guess I can blame my parents for introducing me to comics then!
I sing it to my daughter.
I've got a DVD copy of the series so I'm primed and ready to do it to my future kids

Timm's Superman Animated is the best screen adaptation of Superman to date imho. Heavily influenced by those amazing Fleischer cartoons. One of the reasons Fleischer's and Timm's are superior works is both cast an intelligent mild-mannered Clark Kent, and not some goofy stumbling pie-eyed buffoon. __________ One the Marvel side, Wolverine and the X-Men was surprisingly well written. It ran 26 episodes, with strong continuity and season-long story arc.
