I didn't see any discussion on this at all

http://www.cgccomics.com/news/viewarticle.aspx?IDArticle=2670&Grader-notes

I think the prices are nuts. I can see $5-10 but why does a more expensive book have a higher cost for notes. There sure isn't any difference in value or cost to CGC. And what if I pay my $30 and there are no notes to be had do I just get a blank email.

I have no problem paying for notes and this is great for checking notes when CGC is closed assuming they will be sent when they are closed, but the prices....Not worth it by a long shot and I have no clue what justification they have for the higher prices.

What's next, a $2 charge for microchamber paper in the slab?

I wonder if it's meant more to be a deterrent to prevent nuisance calls than it is to be an income producer for CGC. I've always wondered why CGC would even take calls for notes and give them out pro bono. My viewpoint has always been that the person who pays to have a book graded should be the one who receive the notes - as part of the service.

Thanks for the link, but I don't go near comics general and I figure most here don't either. There really should be a middle ground, the problem is I don't think they can prevent you from printing out the email and sellling it with the book. I also don't know if they could get ebay to end auctions that state being sold with notes so not sure how they could enforce it on the back end.

If it was $5 a book across the board or even up to $15 for high end books that might work, but as I said I really don't like the idea of sending them $30 and getting an email with

Spine Stress

and nothing else. Time will tell I guess.

All I did was call CGC to see why my three GA books received
such low grades and found out I would have to pay for an answer.

That's just so wrong. You paid for them to get graded.
