If you need any help with the toys LMK. Oddly enough the toys and noise makers are much later then the comics probably 1960s.

Great find and very upstanding of you to auction the archie 1.

I might have some interest in th eYoung Allies and caps so LMK if your selling.

Thanks

James G

I wish I could convey the overall state of preservation in the book. It was clean.
Inside front cover was fresh. It was white/slighly transparent with none of the light tanning that you often see on the Inside FC.

gorgeous archies book. spine is amazingly nice, surprised to see that given the other small defects that are normally found in a read book.

Did you get a chance to see the graders notes and see why they gave it an off white to white grade?

It's amazing that there was both a Four Color 4 and Archie 1 in the same collection. The CGC census has only 15-20 copies of each issue which is abnormally low for books in this value range. Based on comparable books from the same period with known circulation figures, these two books can't have sold more than 150,000 copies each, probably less. To find these books in the same, relatively small collection is truly remarkable. The owner's father must have had very good taste and/or access to an excellent distributor.

So far the collection has been only about 180 books. It is amazing.
Also strange we have only gotten 3 Batman books in total (Detective 44, Batman 30,32), and only a handful of Superman's. (Including the coverless num 1)
So something is missing.
