You know...I've been thinking about that alot recently. With the Ultimate line ever increasing their titles, when will the "normal" universe become an afterthought? Since most all of the Ultimate titles sell better than their flagship counterparts wouldn't it make sense that Marvel would increase their focus towards that line. Also, since it's a relatively new universe, creators may be more willing to work on those titles than the continuity entrenched Marvel Universe. But then again, it hasn't stopped JMS from majorly screwing with ASM continuity... But where will the plots and characters come from in the Ultimate Universe if they don't have the original to copy. How many new villains has Ultimate Spidey had...ONE...that I remember and he was a clunker. I can now relate to the Golden Age collector who watched his beloved books change to meet the new Silver Age culture.
