I'm new to comic book collecting, and this is only my first FCBD. In looking at this year's releases, and I noticed that there is not a FCBD offering from Zenescope. Do they not participate in this event?

It's hard to market softcore porn to rated G audiences.

There are 2 stores near me and they both let you take any 3 comics for free, the only difference between the two is the one shop will sell you any free comics later in the week. The other store will give additional free books if you bring in canned goods. Every canned item you donate will get you one additional free comic. The food will then be donated to the local food bank.

Picked up most of mine yesterday, but haven't had much of a chance to really go through them yet. The Mouseguard does look nice though. My LCS still had most except he was already out of the Voltron.

My LCS owner lets his regulars pick the books out ahead of time. He wants to make sure we get the ones we want before the "one and dones" come and take them.

\:\( Well that's stupid. Why not go ahead and start them while they're young? I love Zenescope for that reason and that reason only!!

Meh. You know none of the classic Zenescope "good stuff" will be in there. Oh well, I'll check it out anyway...

I'm gonna try to grab the overstreets greatest horror comics. I'm hoping everyone else will be wanting all the superhero stuff that there will be one left. It looks like a cool read.

I figured this day wasn't really for me, but rather, my kid, so we picked up 10 comics appropriate for an almost 7 year old. The shop probably didn't have the greatest selection or they were out of some stuff as it only looked like they had 15-17 titles in total. He was limiting it to 5 per person as well (but not exactly checking if you were actually buying something).

Cute thing is theres a Donald Duck Barks reprint issue and my son was enjoying the heck out of it. Some stuff is still fun for kids 60+ years later.
