I've heard from various sources that these issues (100-150) are relatively scarce due to low print runs.

Does anyone have a source for the exact print run numbers?

Also, what are your speculative thoughts on the future value of these issues and Spawn collecting in general? It seems to me that the low-print issues will become more valuable and desirable than the first few years of the comic.

Thank you.

Depends on demand. If 10 copies exist, but only 5 people want them, there's not going to be any inflationary price pressure.

Which shows they averaged 40,000 to 50,000 copies.
It`s the post 151 that are really the low print runs.

and there is a reason for the low print runs... low demand... I can't for the life of me imagine what would create "new" demand for those existing issues, when even those "low" print runs are almost 3x higher than today's current print runs ... that means that if all the folks currently reading the series decided to go back and collect those issues, there is still far more supply than demand...and that equals low prices (simplified economics)... now sure, for the 9.8 or 9.9 chaser, maybe less of "those" exist, but come on, really, how many care to pay that premium (I know of one local customer, but that is it)

I sell them in my $1 and 2/$1.00 boxes (maybe I should rephrase that, I "put" them in those boxes, but I rarely sell them)

Some of those issues in there seem to sell on ebay for $3-$6 a pop. Nothing titanic or anything, but interesting.

Out of all the shows I've been to, and all the comic shops I go to. I have never seen a run of Spawn 100-200 for sale regardless of how they are priced. Its the same gap in issues, just a few sporadic books above issue 100, nothing even close to a full run. Try finding the variant covers in the Spawn run from 100-200. Considering Overstreet has these at cover price also.

interesting...I put 2 runs of 1-200 together for customers this year and last, just from existing back stock or purchased collections...all at $200 or less

numbers would indicate that 28-40K of each (approx) were released for the avg issue 100-200 ...declining with later issues (compare that to the 12K each current issue gets)...

that said, I know that most retailers really cut back their spawn orders in the 2000's, so back issues might be scarcer...maybe I was just "fortunate" to have plenty...but about the only time I sell any spawn back issues is when I have a 50% off sale \(shrug\)
