I have a two headed jefferson nickel that was sold to me as a novelty and was made outside of the mint.I think that is what you have with your penny!!

You may just have a novelty coin. You probably need to take it out of the holder and check the rim with magnification. You may be able to see an overlap where 2 coins were put together. I have a 2 headed quarter where on one side there is a gap along the rim where it was cut out and inserted into another quarter. I also have a doube reverse nickel where when looking at the side of the rim it has a seam going all around it. This shows that 2 coins were cut in half and then fused together.

it is very useful if you ever flip coins for anything
