Were the fighting fantasy books the ones where you had to keep track of hit points and supplies? I vaguely remember having hit points in some choose your own adventure books. I remember one book where you would have a heart attack if you were scared three times or some such. Pretty good stuff Matthew.

Yeah, the FF books were a dice game as well as a choose your own sort of thing, and they were my faves as a kid. The Black slime book I posted had the section with the possibility of a heart attack if you chose wrong 3 times.

You guys are missing some of the best ones- Twistaplot

I loved some of the Which Way books and of course the Plot Your Own Horrors.

Ive read some of these hundreds of times as a kid
