...and it's not the toning. I am interested if you guys can see what PCGS said was wrong with this coin. If you guess it, maybe they aren't crazy, lol. Or do you think it has a shot at NGC?

Based on the images provided, I can't see why it would no-grade. But there still mightl be a problem which isn't apparent in your pictures.

I would guess code 91, mainly from reverse

but pics size, lighting and focus makes determination difficult

Obverse looks like it may have been run over with the weird scratches in the hair... or cleaned, the toning looks smeared.

Your photos are not the best, but the one thing that stands out to me are the stars from the 7o'clock to the 10 o'clock position. They all appear damaged. So my guess would also be enviormental damage. What ever the grade, the slash across the eagle's chest would also bring it down at least 1 grade from where it should be if it could grade out.

I'm not wondering if the scratch on the eagles breast was bad enough to call it damaged.

The cut on the breast appears acceptable and I cannot see any obvious reason for the no grade. Therefore, I will guess that they called it counting wheel damage based on stars one through six in that they look like they may be damaged at their highest points.

I don't care what PCGS said about it, I think it is georgeous. And I'm not a big fan of Morgans.
