http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/marvels_the_avengers/ It's early, but 97% so far. I thought that Whedon's "Serenity" was brilliant, so having him at the helm of this only makes sense. Now, if only DC can find the spark to bring some more of it's characters alive on the big screen, without trying to copy Marvel. I'm a DC boy, just like I was for Elvis and Ford, but Marvel sure translates well to film lately. I say it's the combination of scripts, talent and modern special effects that have finally set these movies free. I do think that Hollywood should take a chance on some older MLJ characters, I know where they could find a super villain cheap. Face it, Marvel is just better than DC. Was there ever any doubt?!?
No.

So, you gonna eat fish & chips in the theater? Would that they served fish and chips in the theatre. That would be awesome.

Why do some of you guys get to see it before us real Americans? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/04/26/avengers-international-box-office_n_1455106.html
The Avengers is as American as apple pie.

"If it's not disclosed...you're being hosed." Who coined that phrase? Me, damnit! And it's still true. "Into my heart an air that kills,From yon far country blows What are those blue remembered hills,What spires, what farms are those? That is the land of lost content,I see it shining plain, The happy highways where I went and cannot come again." Nothing I say is intended to be a factual statement.

My wife makes incredible Apple Pie. She is a fantastic baker period, which makes sense since her Maiden name was "Baker"
She makes her own crust from scratch, peals and chops fresh granny smith apples, the whole shebang!
She is a great woman!!

Populations suffer from a fear of change, for their conditioning assumes a static identity. Challenging ones belief system usually results in insult and aprehension. Being wrong is eroniously associated with failure, when in fact to be proven wrong should be celebrated, for it elevates us to a new level of understanding. There is no such thing as a smart Human being, for it is merely a matter of time before their ideas are updated, changed or eradicated. This tendency to hold on to a belief system, any belief system and sheltering it from new possibly transforming information, is nothing less than intellectual materialism. Dominant World views operate with the same social irrelevancy, they exist as barriers to social and individual growth. Major institutions exist as barriers to personal and social growth for each group perpetuates a closed world view. Pat Tillman...
