The winner paid $20.50 for, essentially, a raw book. If the book were a slabbed 9.8, GPA says it is going for about $30.
I'll bet the winner did not realize that the book had been cracked out of the slab. I think I'll watch the seller's feedback ratings over the next few weeks to see what happens.
One corner of the case has been glued together poorly and the opposite corner appears to have a stress crack. None of this is disclosed in the listing.
This could be innocent or some nefarious deception. Who knows. But I sure wouldn't bid on something like this.
