When you drink a company's "Kool-Aid" it means you support everything they do/say. Those who are said to drink PCGS Kool-Aid only buy PCGS coins and only submit to PCGS.

It was free advertising for the manufacturer, and saved the company millions, and covered an old wound asociated with the product.
There is, though, a slight lack of continuity in the written identification of the product name and trade mark from time to time....but the manufacturer chose wisely not to initiate legal action.
Not that this is important info at all.....
Respectfully, John Curlis

Refers to the Rev. Jim Jones Peoples Temple cult in Guyana where he and several hundred followers committed suicide by drinking Kool Aid laced with cyanide when the authorities were closing in on him. Kool Aid drinkers is a reference to this event and is used to describe the blind followers of any religion or cult such as those who feel that PCGS is the only worthy grading service.
I agree with this, and like the explanation because it explains the historical context between the phrasing. With this said, I think Kool-Aid comes in non-PCGS flavors too. I personally like both, and buy the coin and not the holder.

At this point, I feel I should interject something of little importance in the midst of this very educational Q&A.

The best way to deal with Kool-Aid is to put it in the freezer with a popsicle stick in it.
