My bag is empty after 15 pages. I can see both sides of the coin on this one. But I have to go with comix on this one. If nothing else for his resilience of refusing to lower the threads integrity, more so that CGC leaves the SS description generic enough to allow such a signature...as if they had this issue in mind when creating the SS in the first place

That depends, was he sitting on Art Adams' lap when he signed it?
If I recall, Art Adams was calling up Jim Lee to ask him if he thought Gambit's collar looked better folded down or popped, and Jim told him "either or is fine". Art popped his collar and I do believe that earns him a creator credit.
