Every time I read some of Wolverton's GA stuff I notice how much Robert Crumb was influenced by him. A unique artist.

How’s that early Eisner work appears occasionally better than some of the Uncle Sam stories the studio produced for National Comics or "Black X"? Maybe because they were "teamwork"? hm
