Ok, Ladies and Gentlemen I will start by introducing myself. My name is Doug and for the last 18 years (29 on the 09/11 this year) I have mainly just read books and never really took collecting serious. I am about to graduate from the University of Knoxville Tennessee with my BA. Because of this I recently decided to make the move to be a more serious collector. I used to spend most of my free time (being a student I had a lot of it) playing the CCG MTG. With graduation looming I sold off all my collection and invested the funds. 90% went to my wife as that is the usual commission she charges. The other 10% I invested into SA comic Keys and a run of X-Men (1-544, plus all side titles Xmen,Excaliber, Xfactor so on)
Anyways I wandered from the SA room into this subforum one night a couple weeks ago and was blown away by the Sketch covers on display here. Seeing as I really only collect X-titles this seemed like a great move for me. I have decided to move my spending into covers requesting that they be X-Character related.
These are a couple covers I have managed to pick up in the last 2 weeks. I also made an agreement with Peter Palmer for his J-Scott Mary Jane and cannot wait to get the check out to him on Monday for the book as I am a huge J-Scott fan.
You have probably seen most of these before but I wanted to show them off as they are the 1st Sketches that I have ever owned.
Bought from dhurley1125 Jon Hughes Cover as soon as I saw it I had to make sure no one else had the Take it sign up. Once it was clear that no one else had claimed it I scooped it up. Jean is my favorite female X-Character.
I had Dre send this to me from Wonder Con Scott Blair Cover this was the 1st cover I bought.
Another Jon Hughes I was lucky enough to work out a trade for this cover. Shipped a lower grade walking dead to Harley Troy here on the boards in exchange for this one.
Purchased this from Billy the Kid here a couple weeks ago. By far my favorite. Obviously a J-Scott Campbell, I will be in line for him at Pittsburgh next weekend. Maybe ill win the raffle and get a 3rd piece from him.
I have a few opps that I recently joined and look forward to sharing them when they are done. Next weekend ill be in Pittsburgh on the hunt for a Ebas (even after the recent price hike) and a J-Scott. Hopefully ill be lucky and win the raffle on Saturday for a chance at a sketch.

I was going to start focusing on an X-23 sketch or two, but I may shift to 'Savage Land Rogue' after this sketch here. It just gets more awesome every time I look at it.
