The buyer thinks "the item is there, just waiting for me to offer the right price." The seller thinks "the item is wherever someone will buy it for a price I will accept." It becomes like a game of Whack-A-Mole, where the buyer keeps whacking at comics and missing, thinking that maybe he's not whacking hard enough or soon enough and is ultimately tired from all the whacking, never quite hitting the mark. There's something very "CG" about this analogy, but oh well.
