So the price on the sticker should match the price on the price variant?

Sorry for all the questions. I'm finding this interesting. I'm fully aware of the price variants, I just never knew there were sub-collections that involved price stickers.

So I purchased a handful of variants from a guy once, and that lot included the Ringo 27 I posted over at STL.

The sellers story to me, was that the ringo (among others) was purchased with the sticker, at the same time and place he purchased the other variants I was buying.

He thought the store either got the stickers to place on the books, or the store noticed the price difference on some books and decided to capitalize on the difference by adding stickers.

Based upon other books I have seen with stickers, and your example, stickers were not a new thing. The interesting thing is the font on the 30 and 35 cent stickers that I have seen are very similar, and the books with them are from different locations in the country (now).

So the answer is: regular edition + sticker = price of price variants along side them.

Edit Reason: capitalization

Wow, interesting story (from back in the day, when adding 5c to a comic was capitalizing!). Thanks for taking the time to flesh it out for me.

no, I have not found anything new as of late.

but I am still looking.

I would really like to find another Kid Colt 208

Not like anyone cares, but I think this is the best WTB thread EVER- thank you for looking, and thanks to those who have sold books to me over the lifespan of this thread.
