Curious, I've been coming across sale posting for specific comics where the seller has multiple copies slabbed in various grades. Since 2005 they've probably sold 20+ of the same book.

What's more likely, that this collector recognized the significance of the book or had access to multiple copies and bought dozens of copies and had them all 3rd party graded? Or they had them slightly restored and slabbed when CGC first started?

The label is not an old school label so I'm thinking this person bought dozens of copies. Just odd to me that someone would have so many of just 1 book.

Few months ago I ran into a guy who also purchased Daredevil #181 by the box load. He sells what are brand new looking copies on ebay for $20. When asked he told me that he would guess at what could be worth a penny or two and buy insane amounts of that book.

He has sold over 30 copies on ebay ranging between $18 - $30 a pop since February.

This is just strange to me, it shouldn't be but it is and makes me think I'm getting fooled.

I bought 2 Wolverine #1's as a kid and thought I was insane.

Odds that a restored book is in a blue slab < Odds that this guy has a long box of pristine books and is slowly sending them out

A dealer friend of my will let me look through his back stock. I was digging through boxes at random one day and I pulled out a long box that was completely full of NM copies of that issue. Some books are not as rare as we think.
