This might be tougher than I thought.  More clues, in the form of small portions of the front covers for the 6 remaining unsolved books. (note these are small) The other clues given so far will also be included. Good luck. #1: Kryptonite is involved in this story. Think opposite of TV show with William Bendix in the 50's, to narrow down the title.  Portion of cover:
