Thrilling 7 up to $6200 with 15 days to go. Impressive.
Make that $8,200 with 12 days to go.....there is something other then the Superman check in this auction to actually start a conversation about. Imagine that.
Sorry Roy, looks like you aren't going to own a nice # 7 anytime soon.
Thrilling # 7 at $9,200 with more then a week to go. Its already at the top end of my expectations, with room to go to what...? $12k? $15k? $20k?
Apparently, this book is a Grail-type book for several collectors out there....and Overstreet has really missed the mark on its value for years. I think its safe to say we've achieved "breakout'.

I am so embarrassed that I have never seen that cover before. Talk about under the radar. Guess I need to dig out the Gerbers and get ejimicated all over again.

In olden times years ago, when you put a man in prison behind the bars in a jailhouse, if you had fifteen or twenty-five or thirty dollars you could save him from the gallows pole 'cause they gonna hang him if you don't bring up a little money. Everybody would come to the jailhouse and boy would ran upside the jail; he was married, too. As for who brang him something, lot of comfort, here comes his mother.

Its a legitimately rare book. The four unrestored copies on the census are the same four that were there when I bought my 9.0 copy from Metro five years ago. No new copies have appeared, and no copies have traded hands publically.
Heck, its a tough book to find in low grade and complete. High grade? Fuggedaboutit!
I'm guessing if we hit some nutty number though like $20k for the Mile High copy, a couple may come out of the woodwork.
