He's starting to get the feel for his beautiful crosshatching in this picture.
It's still pretty raw, but you can tell it's laying the foundation for what he does best.

This is the last of Bernie's pictures. It's the center spread of the magazine.
If you're in the market for this book, be sure you check to make sure this centerfold is in it because it's often missing.
I'd assume that people were using it as a poster.

Great stuff. The woman and snake pic shows a definate Frazetta influence IMHO, the others though are almost already classic Wrightson but as you say just a little raw.
