Who are you?
I'll meet you at ECCC. I collect a lot of different stuff: uber-HG bronze Marvel slabs, Wolverine, silver Ducks and Mickey Mouse, Valiants. I'm currently working on a bronze Thor run and a Wolverine 1-189 SS run.
My first sketch book was the Clayton Crain HERO Spider-Man. I've got a Castrillo cover recreation and a Kirscht oil painting framed in my comic room.
My 5-year old son Robbie enjoys comics and loves Emerald City ComiCon. My wife has started going to shows with me because Robbie has so much fun and she enjoys meeting other people at the dinners. But she isn't into the comics at all.

I started reading comics when I was 13. Every Saturday the only local dealer would set up outside of a pizza shop and would sell the new comics.
My wife doesn't like comic books, but supports whatever hobby keeps me happy. I used to collect signatures, but made the transition towards sketch covers.
BORING! Tell us about the time you beat up a crack head

There are about 220 books in the run including variants and annuals. I have them all in 9.8 except for 35 and the 102.5 from Wizard. I've been getting them signed (mainly by creators who visit Emerald City ComiCon) and so far I have about 50-60 signed. Marc Silvestri is coming this year so I hope to get another 20 or so books done.
I'm Tim, 40 and live in northwest Indiana with my fiancee, her seven year old son and our two dogs. Currently I'm the route supervisor for a cash logistics company (armored transport).
I've been in comics since about 1984-85. My collection has definitely changed since then. I've always been into autographs so when I found out about the SS program I was completely hooked. I have a few focuses, in no particular order, that my collection is geared towards:
1) Captain America
2) foreign editions
3) Neal Adams
4) Bernie Wrightson
5) Nick Cardy
6) Krypto
7) Spider-Man covers with Mary Jane
My collection consists of about 150 or so SS books and one PLOD, an Adventure Comics #210 (1st Krypto).
