As we all know, players who are good in Scotland are excellent when they play in England. Liverpool had great success with Scottish players once upon a time, but it seems that the days when Scotland produced great players are long gone. Who was the last really decent Scottish player?
Well, just from Everton's perspective, Gough, Weir and Ferguson were good servants for the club in the last decade.

Everton and Rangers have agreed a fee for Nikica Jelavic. Still to agree personal terms and have medical. Good player, I would gladly have him at Arsenal
Shouldn't you be looking at Hazard? Samba?
I understand Wenger not wanting to dip his toe in as you have Gervinho to come back, also Arteta & Sagna coming back to full fitness and also Gibbs, Santos and Wilshere hopefully!
But I think the game against Villa shows there are still fractures in Arsenal's defence and also Walcott, after being in the England squad and being in Arsenal's 1st team needs to be more consistent.

Interesting - they turned down £7 million from West Ham.
They owed Everton £1.5 million from a 10 year old transfer deal, so we've given then 5.5 mil, allegedly.

There is zero chance of Arsenal getting Eden Hazard. He is an upcoming star who will be looking for a HUGE move to further his career. With Arsenal struggling to quilify for next seasons Champion's League, they just can't compete for players like that. Samba, maybe...but Wenger doesn't like defenders.

Lee, I'm going to be in Sydney for a week from this weekend. Do the sports bars/pubs in Oz show English football at all, and if so do they show them on delayed basis, since most of the weekend afternoon games would be in the dead of night?
