Well, deal hunting for a hotel room on Priceline has been a challenge for this show. Finally found two rooms at the Downtown Charlotte Courtyard by Marriott for $90/night, but that's easily the most I've ever paid for a room on Priceline. Normally, I'm content to wait until the last 2-3 weeks when the hotels start lowering their prices as the booking dates approach, but since I have family coming with me this year, I figured I'd better get a room now, if only so I don't hear the "there won't be anymore good rooms left" mantra from the peanut gallery. 
Either way, I'm booked, my time off is taken, and I'm ready to rock in Charlotte.

Well, I guess the Courtyard deal isn't too bad since its normally $209/night through Priceline.
For those of you who are still looking for a room, Hyatt House is down to $109/night on Priceline for a King room with a seperate suite. If you can find a Boardie to room with, you're looking at $55 + taxes/night for each of you, which includes a breakfast. Not a bad deal for downtown.
