I am trying to grade my nickels; but i do not know what MS6FS means?

I am looking through the price guide trying to figure out the worth of my nickels and I keep coming across the MS6FS. What does that mean and how do I know if I have an MS6FS nickel?

6 Full Steps

Was there more to the grade listed on the slab or was it in an NCS slab?

6fs refers to the steps on the reverse of the coin, at the base Monticello. most nickels do not have 6 full steps .ms refers to mint state.

Full Steps (FS) designation means that all 6 steps in front of Monticello go all the way across the front stairway, no nicks, interruptions, smudges, or weakness. It's a pretty difficult thing to get on older nickels, but that's what keeps coin collecting fun.
