Central Valley Collection - Day 2
Action Comics #30 (Nov 1940). CGC Grade = 9.4 ow-wh. Census Rank = #1. Price = $32,000.
A remarkable copy from one of the most collectible Golden Age titles. Since CGC entered the marketplace, only seven books within the Action #1-40 run have been certified as 9.4 or better. These ultra high-grade specimens seldom change hands. Recent sales from this extremely small pool include the Action #19-9.4 for 5.45 times guide (in Aug 2011) and the #31-9.4 for 4.72 times guide (also in Aug 2011). With a value of 17,400 registry points, the Central Valley Action #30-9.4 would catapult its new owner to 6th Place on the Action #1-100 Registry Set roster. This is truly an “investment quality” item!

The cover is really pretty neat too.
I'm considering some of the high dollar ones. So bullet 123 better get here soon. I had some real beat up 1st series Four Colors that flew out the door at $30-60 each. I'd be all over any early Bugs, Felix, Porky or other name animation characters (non newspaper strip characters) if you have any. Super Series, Large Feature Four Color etc.
