I've gotta hype my own show this time. As I'm so fond of saying, I only get to go to one show each year and it's Planet Comicon in Overland Park (Kansas City to most of the world). Chris has some great guests lined up and the list has been growing steadily. Jeremy Bastian, Don Rosa, Bernie Wrightson, Skottie Young, Ben Templesmith, Joe Staton, Rick Remender, Freddie Williams, and Stan Sakai are all confirmed! C2E2 is listing guests including Joe Kubert!
The list below has creators that have been requested or that generally have a large enough following to be mentioned for the good of everyone.
Please check and see if the creator you are looking for is listed!
Also, please remember that if a creator you are looking for isn't listed, it doesn't necessarily mean that they aren't making appearances. It just means that no one has requested them to be added to the list yet. If they are listed with no dates after their name, then they have been requested but have no known appearances yet.
If you want someone added or know of an appearance, you can either add it here or PM me and I'll get them on the list.
If someone is accepting submissions for shows or mail in signings or whatever, please let me know! Again, I try to keep an eye on things, but I've had some slip by in the past and really don't want to slight anyone.
INFORMATION OF INTEREST:: Planet Comicon is updated and is lookin' good! New York Comic Book Marketplace has changed its date! NYCBM is now March 31 2012 instead of February 25! Please check your calendars! Also, NYCBM has added Stan Lee. Rich Buckler and Mike Royer will also be making rare appearances at NYCBM. Emerald City updated. Gem City updated...it was easy, they have no one coming, apparently. Wondercon updated, Art Adams, Joe Hill, and the elusive "W" boys Waid and Wolfman are all added! Boston Comicon has added Al Feldstein! Wiziard World Toronto updated!
As a side note, I see some of the last remaining GA creators on the list. I think we all know how quickly we can lose these guys and I encourage anyone who get the chance to stop by their tables, shake their hands and tell them "thank you" for their work. Stan Lee, Joe Kubert, Irwin Hasen, Sheldon Moldoff, Allen Bellman, Al Feldstein, and Al Jaffe among others are well worth the time out of the hustle and bustle of the show to just go find and meet. I promise, you'll remember it forever and it will likely brighten their day as well! Even if you're not a fan of anything they did, do the research and have something good to say to them. It's likely none of this would be here if they hadn't been there first.
