Unsolicited advice, this is not a bad price for this book. No one bought Bats during this period, those who did didn't save it in high grade, it is an early saddle-stitched double size DC which means more production flaws. Tough, tough book. $1,000, while not a steal, is really not an unreasonable price.
If *I* wasn't such a notorious cheaparse, I would definitely consider it. For ME to consider paying this much for anything means it's a probably a really good deal for what it is. if I was SELLING, I *probably* wouldn't be asking just $1,000 for it as a 1 of 1.

You even got me to seriously think about grabbing it.....Course, when I looked for it, it was gone.

Yeah, it's just a tough, tough book. In all my years of buying Bats...and there's no character I love more than Bats, and have been buying him since the beginning of my collecting...first book I ever bought off the rack was Bats #437...I've never run across even a NM copy. I have 4-5 copies, but they're all Fines and VFs.
For me, a notorious cheapskate, to consider laying out the cash....it was a great grab, indeed.

If there is only one 9.8 on the census, I own it. Except for batman 332... I'm not currently selling as I'm collecting the run, also. I search for these regularly, and will try to keep you in mind....
