Late 70's at Newbury Comics (the 1st ever) on Newbury St, my first back issue was an ASM 23, I'm pretty sure that's the first time ever spending $20 on a comic book.

Ghost Rider # 16..just loved the shark cover- with turquoise back-ground..and Savage sword of copy had only half of the front cover
