When you are trying to get a sketch on a blank cover, do people usually give it to the artist raw or prepped like it would be for a S/S but with a much bigger window?? Yes
What do you mean?

When you're giving a blank to an artist to sketch on, definitely try to give them as much open area as possible to work with. Use and make a windowed top loader
