. The traumatic episode has given Hue the chance to prove his responsibility. In his parent’s absence, he has kept the house clean and kept his grades high. He said that he feels he has finally regained his parent’s trust.

If he had done that all along (keep the house clean and kept the grades high) as it was his responsibility and duty to his parents in the first place, instead of getting on the computer and screwing people around, then he wouldn't have gotten into the trouble that he did.

In my opinion, he has not proven anytihing and really done nothing to "atone" for his past crimes. Scum like this have no place in decent society and if I was one of his defrauded victims, Hue would be in a hospital bed right next to his dad.

It's also the parents' job to instill some discipline and morals into their accidental hellspawn. If I were the police, I would have forced the parents be be financially liable for each and every one of his scams.

Too many people get away scott free for the $hit that they pull. Pulling this convert crap , preaching to the ignorant masses is just some BS way of justifying what he did with out feeling any tangible reprecussions (like a bat to his freakin' noggin).

And most importantly, where can I get a laptop for $35...

Braddick: I certainly agree about your Negative Feedback comments. I have have given and I have one negative feedback, on a crook. However, I am not sure that it hurt him as much as me. All this for a stinking, lousy $30 coin that I turned around and sold because of the coin's bad Karma.

After almost a month, I ordered a duplicate from another dealer and had it before the first coin got here. What is scary, is that this clown, that I dumped on, has sold over 2000 coins to the unsuspecting public.

EBay is generally gutless about enforcement on their "Powersellers". I think that these guys have to rob a bank to be delisted.

Another reason to be cautious on Ebay.

There's a lot of advice here that I agree with and a lot I don't agree with. My advice is see what works for you.

1. If you don't buy anything that isn't slabbed, you are cutting yourself off from a whole lot of nice coins that do belong in slabs, at a decent price. I picked up a nice 1880 Morgan that NGC slabbed MS-64 for me, for $20 + $3.00 shipping. That's one of many. I have gotten more dogs in slabs than I have raw. I'm not talking Slabs 'R' US, either.

2. I don't put a return policy in my listings, it goes out in the notice I send to the high bidder. I don't want people wasting my time that suffer from "Buyer's Remorse." I would rather not get a bid at all, than get one from someone that's already thinking about sending the coin back.

3. The people that I have dealt with that I am the most dissatisfied with are the ones that have the largest numbers of feedback comments.

4. Anytime I pay electronically and the seller doesn't leave feedback, I know to expect something unexpected. As soon as someone pays me I leave feedback.

Just my opinion.

I had this 'dip-stick' stiff me, on an e-Bay auction I offered-- then LIED! about it...!!!
As the buyer requested, I dinged him with a neg., then HE! neg.s ME...!!! When I sent a copy of his e-mail to e-Bay, trying to rectify this situation, they couldn't be bothered...!!! They said it was out of their hands...
I said, well-- let's see here-- it is YOUR! program, YOUR! format, and YOU! make the rules ...!!! You're going to tell me that you will NOT?! repair the false damage done???
They said 'no'. I said, "You can shove your program!!!" Then I left.

That's why you can't trust the feedback files. If you are wronged and file a neg. on the perp, they turn around and give you an unwarranted neg. It's not a really good system. That's why there are soooo many "Power Sellers" out there ripping and robbing with relatively clean feedback. AND...they are always the ones saying "Check my feedback."

I still leave positive feedback when I am paid. I don't wait, because I have nothing to hide. If someone wants to give me an unwarranted neg, it's not going to make any difference whether or not I can retaliate. I'm still going to have an unwarranted neg.

I sometimes check out the feedback left BY someone. I notice a lot of sellers never bother or leave useless feedback.

Here's the link:

DaveFPerry noted this above, but it's worth repeating.

VERIFY SHIPPING CHARGES!

One seller said to inquire about shipping charges. When I sent an inquiry for shipping from his province to my state, he asked for a specific zip code (as if this mattered to Canada Post). Eventually he gave me an answer-- $25 to send one book.

No wonder the item had no bids-- others must have also asked for a shipping quote before bidding.

If I had a bad experience and did not get a satisfactory resolution, I would file a neg and take a chance on retaliation. I also think people are smart enough to figure out who is retaliatory or not.

I sell regularly on Ebay. I do not give returns because I usually include a picture. I do not make much on a lot of the coins I sell. I do not have the time and profit to manage returns. I had someone buy a slabbed coin from me but he did not like the toning. I did give him a refund but that was easy as I new he did not switch the coin. I ask them to look at my feedback to see that everyone has been pleased with the coins I sell.
