I noticed that the PMG population report for $5 silver certificates now breaks the Series down even more which is wonderful. I am confused about some of the suffixs of the 1934D's.
What is the difference between 1654n and 1654N; 1654wII and 1654 Wii; and 1654 Wii* and 1654wII* ?

Steve, there is no difference.

It's becuase of the way PMG used the Pedigree Line to denote various types over the past years. Your example of the 1654n is the same as the 1654N. If you click in the "BL", you will see both have the same block data.

Over the years, both FR# definitions were used so in order to get the Pop Report accurate, they put both in the report. Same goes for the others that you described.
