Hmmm...this might be interesting, I've had a little gold bar for ages, which I basically use as a paperweight and now might be the time to unload...
Except I have no idea what the value is; $500 per troy oz... wha ??
it has a few stamps, weighs 250 grams, (8.81849049 ounces)...so how much could I get for it ?

If it is 8.8 then around 4.75K if it is .88 ounces then around $475
Also, I believe it has to be 24 Karat is that correct guys?

It has a few stamps, one which tells me it's 99.9% pure gold....
It's been on my desk for years, sometimes I put it in a drawer for while, then it pops up again, then I put it on my papers....back in the drawer. My wife jokes that burglars will never bother to take it as they'll think it's a novelty item or something.
I can get a really nice FF#1 for $4409.25
