Hi all, first post here I am a newish collector. I am trying to find out how you can tell what print of comic I have. I have issue 1 of Ultimate Spiderman, I bought it when it was first released, now due to a lack of funds I wish to sell the comic, But before I attempt this I need to double check its a first print. Is there any code like on a books to check this??
Thanks alot, also on ebay i have seen this comic selling for over $100. My copy seems in almost perfect condition.
Hi, One easy way is to check and see if the cover has the comic code on it. The reprinted K-B Toys edition does not have this on the cover. Also check the inside printing information as it will state when the book was printed. This book has been reprinted numerous times as a giveaway, but all those are clearly noted on the information inside the comic. Hope this helps.

whats a comic code?
The only comic i have to had is Ultimate X-men no 22
on the front cover the above the barcode is a 5 digit number 02211 below the barcode is 59606 05047 and either side of the barcode is a single numer on the left 7 nand right 5. which of these is comic number and what do they mean?? thanks
The comic code is a little white box that appears on most comic covers. It is shaped like a stamp. If you look at the examples of this issue on eBay you should be able to find one that has the comic code stamp on it.

You don't have to make out any numbers coeshaw. If this is a first print book, there should be two white boxes in the lower right corner.
The larger one on the bottom is the bar code box. The much smaller one directly above it is the comics code stamp. You don't need to read them. If that smaller white comic code stamp is there.......it's a first print. That's all you need to determine.
