How do Subscription folds affect a comic books grade? If a comic is in 7.5 condition but has a subscription fold then what grade is it in?

Also, is it Subscription folds or creases that don't break color? The one I'm talking about doesn't break color.

I seem to recall that on most comics a sub crease is an automatic 4.0 (VG).

FN - : A crease (color break) is not acceptable. A fold is acceptable if there is no color break, the fold has all but disappeared, and is otherwise VF-NM.

VG - : Subscription Crease/Fold: A fold or light crease is acceptable if the comic is flat and would otherwise grade FN or better.

Doug Sulipa will on occasion give a comic with a subscription fold a Fine...as long as there is no color break...but it does depend on the condition of the rest of the comic. So, I would disagree with giving it an automatic VG based on that.

That's why I wrote "most" and included the possibility of a "Fine" three posts above. \(thumbs u
