Shad it's been discussed ad naseum. do a search for "October copy" and November copy" in quotes for starters. Every time a Marvel #1 discussion happens people talk about them. Basically the NOV copy is an Oct copy with the Oct date cover with a dark circle.
Supposed to be no diff in price but many tend to regard the Oct copy as more desireable.
That's the Cliff's note's version.
R.
oh yeah, I wouldn't kick either of them out of bed.

Totally wrong, Roy. Everyone knows that one version has a UPC code, and the other just has a picture of Spidey's head in the UPC box.

The big question is whether there are two different printings, or one corrected printing. Some feel Goodman (the publisher) went back to print a second time. Other really smart people feel that the printing was corrected while the books were being printed the first time. I am not very smart, but the Nov. overprint doesn't bother me much.

Both wrong! The October copy comes polybagged with the Sub-Mariner Hologram trading card, while the November copy comes with the Torch TVS (Timely Value Stamp).

I love the commentary this post has generated, hilarious. Shad in short the October print was the original and apparently 80,000 were printed but it did so well that they ran off another 800,000 copies with a November date stamp. November prints usually are accompanied with a black dot over where the October date stamp was on the printing plate but there are some versions where "October" is still slightly visible through the black dot and the November date is printed above it. In the last 5 years I have only ever seen 4 October copies that have ever hit the market and 20+ copies of the November version. Would be interesting to hear from some of the old veterans on these boards as to how many copies they have actually seen over the years at cons, private collections, etc. Does Geppi have one at his museum and have any come out of pedigree collections?
Apparently the Comicconnect copy that been auctioned off was tucked away in a private collection for many years.
