The Mile High copy of Thrilling Comics # 54 is now listed in the Comiclink October Auction preview:
Mile High Thrilling # 54 CGC 9.4
It last sold in the May 2007 Heritage Signature auction for just a tad under $600.
You see, back then, it was only a mere 8.0:
But a little nip, tuck and press later, and its ready for a $2,500-$3,500 price tag.
Ironically enough, the Comiclink description even notes "it is the only 9.4 in the CGC Census with the next highest only grading an 8.0." What? The Presser in question didn't bother to submit the old tag? What a shock!
Absolutely Shameful.

looks like more white on the spine on the 9.4 but i'm no expert on pressing. Yep. And look how the top staple lies on the spine. On the 8, it's in an indention. On the 9.4, it lies straight across.
