I asked what this meant, and she said it usually 95% of the time means the series is done.
My own thought was that Kirkman was probably wooed by Marvel and they paid off his contracts with Image. They did it to Strachinkstysi or however you spell his name. All the sudden Rising Stars stopped and ASM started.

Personally I think it means
Kirkman quits Image and goes to Marvel. Kirkman keeps creator rights and current series (hopefully) moves with him, or dies
