I too thought Neil was good as Lois. Coates wasn't bad but Neil did seem more comfortable in the role.

I would think the runner stopping/starting after each lap would contribute to fatigue quicker than if they were to switch off every 3-4 laps. If you're suggesting a lap takes approximately three minutes I could see the final time being around 3:00 -
