Wondering if anyone knows much about the Living Dead Comics from Avatar? Read an article about "Plague of the Living Dead" coming out soon and it looks good. Thinking of picking it up.

Wondering if anyone's been following the series and if it's any good. Also wondering what order it goes in? These were all the issues I could find.....maybe there's more?
Escape of the Living Dead #1-5 Escape of the Living Dead: Airborne 1-3 Escape of the Living Dead: Fearbook - One Shot Escape of the Living Dead: Back from the Grave - One Shot Night of the Living Dead: Beginning #1-2 Plague of the Living Dead
Very little seems to be on e-bay. As a huge fan of "The Walking Dead" and "Marvel Zombies"..... it's opened my eyes to the world of Zombie comics.

Hi,
I have them all because I am a zombie nut, and have been for decades, so I am soaking up all of the current zombie craze while it lasts, especially in the comic book medium. As a result I have bought the good and the bad. Walking Dead the comic and Shaun of the Dead the movie are the best of the recent good, so where do the AVATAR books fall IMHO? Well, they are not awfull, but they are not awesome. It's an attempt by the co-creator of NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD to cash in on the zombie hype by loosely tying into the NOFTLD movie. The art is ok, and features nudity and gore, and the stories are interesting enough to keep you interested if you are a zombie fan.
I would go out and read ZOMBIE WORLD, NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD books (by Steve Niles & Clive Barker), and the one issue of ZOMBIE KING by Frank Cho before going after the AVATAR stuff. Well, the BLACKGASS books by AVATAR are actually pretty good too, although they aren't technically zombie comics.
Hope that helps.

Just read ZOMBIE KING here: http://www.apesandbabes.com/0_zombie_0/zk.html
And yeah, it's fun. Frank Cho is awesome. Wish they would follow-up on this. It's definitely not as good as Walking Dead. But then again, what is.
