This weekend I'm going to distribute flyers to some of the comic shops in Manhattan giving them the information about this theft...maybe the thief will approach one of these shops to sell the books. (link to flyer...feel free to use) If you live in the NYC/tristate area, I really encourage you to spread the word as well to any shops or dealers you know. Ted is one of the true nice guys in the business and deserves better than this... Here's hoping the books will eventually be recovered.

Great idea. I will make many copies and distribute them at the October 8th comic book show at the midtown Holiday Inn.
Or do I wait and hope that somebody walks in trying to sell the books?

Yeah, it's a fine line. I guess in general it would be ideal to distribute flyers to dealers and shops so they know what's up, but not to have them posted anywhere in public. On the off-chance that someone is approached by the thief, they probably shouldn't let on that they know the situation, but instead act interested in the books (he may only have a few on him) and try to stall him, get his contact information, etc.

Or Heritage as new and improved versions of their former selves.A few weeks at the comic spa in Sarasota and you'll barely recognize them.
