Well the auction just ended on a really nice card.

I'm glad the winner is a big Sgc collector. This auction was fun to
watch. Would of been great of I could of participated! I used to dream
about women... Last night I had a dream that I won this auction
and my wife was proud of me for winning! Now that it's over I can
can go back to dreaming about women.

Card's worth every penny of it! Nicest one in existance that I know of WITHOUT alteration. ALL of BMW's cards are carefully chosen for their inventory. Not a one with any "help" among them!!

I've seen other '8' (and better) as well as other company equivalents auctioned, possibly on Ebay, but definitely pictured in the catalogs of Wolffers, Lelands, Sothebys, and other auction houses. I've seen specimens that had perfect centering, near perfect edges, perfect register, color, sheen, a gorgeous back equal to the front, etc., but I've NEVER seen one that had ALL of it!! The one BMW had on inventory was in my estimation, the best one I've seen, by a wide margin. And amazingly, completely UNALTERED. Would you agree MW?

VaYank,

According to some posts on the Psa board, the most recent Psa 9's sold
for 66k and another did not meet it's reserve at 49k. I don't remember
the 49k card.

By the way there is or was a 1951 Sgc 84 Willie Mays for sale by
BMW that is awesome too. It is one of the nicest nm cards I've seen.

In comparison there is a horrible nm Psa 7 card being offered by a dealer
for $3200 that is a piece of junk compared to BMW's Mays. If I did
not spend so much on red man cards I would of bought it.

That Mantle card is awesome. It looks like it just came out of a pack. Strong price but I believe it's worth every penny. Congrats to both buyer and seller
