The following press release will also be in next week's Scoop:
More than one dozen comic book collectors and dealers, including three Overstreet Price Guide Advisors, and noted comic book restoration expert Susan Ciccioni have recently founded the Network of Disclosure (http://www.networkofdisclosure.com/). Along with our newest member, Overstreet Advisor George Pantela of GPAnalysis.com, we wish to extend an invitation to those who are interested and support the NOD ideals to join as a member.
The NOD Mission Statement is as follows:
The Network of Disclosure is a group of comic book dealers and collectors, who have pledged to disclose any form of restoration or enhancement, to include Intact Pressing, known to exist, on a comic book in their possession or placed by them for sale. Our objective is to create a safer and more open environment for those buying and selling comic books. By publicly sharing this type of history of each of these books with our fellow collectors and prospective customers, we seek to foster both a greater level of confidence and sense of security within the marketplace.
"In addition to actively promoting ethical conduct and practices within the comic book community, the NOD has established policies regarding the advertising and sales of books that bind its members and will seek to assist any buyer who believes an NOD member has not abided by those policies," stated the NOD Governing Committee which is comprised of Brent Moeshlin of QualityComix.com, Jim Wilkerson and Mark S. Zaid of EsquireComics.com. All NOD members will display appropriate logos on their sites and advertising to distinguish their involvement with and adherence to the NOD's principles" added the Committee.
Those interested in joining can do so by filling out an application online at http://www.networkofdisclosure.com/application.php. A prospective member must be recommended by two existing members, and a current list will always be posted on the site. Membership, which will over time include numerous benefits, has an annual fee of $50 to support its operations. The NOD is in the process of pursuing 501(c)(3) non-profit status from the Internal Revenue Service.
Now this is interesting! Thanks for the unintentional heads-up OG.
The Amazing Screw-on Head I loved the comic and cant wait to watch this at home tonight.
Download the entire first episode from SCFI.com!
From the website:
In this hilarious send-up of Lovecraftian horror and steampunk adventure, President Abraham Lincoln's top spy is a bodyless head known only as Screw-On Head.
When arch-fiend Emperor Zombie steals an artifact that will enable him to threaten all life on Earth, the task of stopping him is assigned to Screw-on Head. Fortunately, Screw-On Head is not alone on this perilous quest. He is aided by his multitalented manservant, Mr. Groin, and by his talking canine cohort, Mr. Dog.
Can this unorthodox trio stop Emperor Zombie in time? Does Screw-On Head have a body awesome enough to stop the horrors that have been unleashed? Where can we get a talking dog?
All these questions (O.K., maybe not that last one) will be answered when you watch the thrilling tale of The Amazing Screw-On Head!
Now this is interesting! Thanks for the unintentional heads-up OG.
Sure! Happy to hear the time I put in on the blog isn't a total waste.
Not at all, blogs are always a fun read. I really liked that comic and can't wait to watch the episode....too bad the sound on my computer isn't working right now.

What a bargain!
Basically, it does cost significant dollars for the website and advertising. No one in the NOD receives a dime for anything they do. It's strictly a volunteer organization.
Any other questions about the NOD, please email us at info@networkofdisclosure.com and we'll gladly answer your concerns.
