The AL MVP will still be David Ortiz..
I hope not. I like David Ortiz but how can a DH ever be MVP?
Thats the only ?..Who else would you put as MVP
You heard it here first.....
Jermaine Dye. White Sox.
.327 avg. 39 hr 106 rbi .650 slg. avg. Guy is a great fielder and very VERY clutch.
So I'll cast my AL MVP vote for him.
Red
If Clevland made the playoffs you also have:
Travis Hafner .310 Avg 42 Hr 116 RBI .662 slg percentage but he is also a DH

Did The Yankees play up Spencer to the next anyone? He was not a heraled arrival. He became heralded for his results,short-term as they were. Yankee prospects are kept under the radar, when they arrive even Yankee fans are surprised. Over the years we have been told that Dave West,Dave Madigan,Greg Jeffries,Alex Escobar,Alex Ochoa,Diaz, ect, ect were all no doubt major league studs. On the other side of the river, over the last 18 months, we have seen Chin-Ming Wang(leading the league in wins),Robinson Cano(All-Star 2b),Melky Cabraera all join the club without any advance hype. I just get a kick out of everyone "knowing" the Yankee farm system stinks, yet they can reach down and fill almost any gap they need. For those of you who don't watch the Yankees on a regular basis,22 year old. Cano and the even younger Cabraera should be competing for batting titles for a long time to come. Cano has the sweetest swing since Tony Gwynn, imho.

Which Yankee prospect is leading the league in wins? Which Yankee was selected to the all-star team at second base?I guess your opinion counts more than the players who voted him onto the team. Where shall he return his AS ring to?
But I'm not objective,correct?
First Base-neither team has a homegrown prospect Giambi is younger,I think. Second base-Yankees -Homegrown,Mets-no. Cano is younger SS-both teams have HG players Reyes is younger 3B-Yankees no,Mets Yes.Wright is younger. Catcher-Yankees Yes,Mets no Not sure how old La Duca is OF-Yankees have two players that get a great deal of playing that are homegrown.Mets have none in the rotation Cabareara is youngest regular. Pitching-Yankees have Wang. Mets have a bunch of guys who haven't been able to hold a job. Both rotations are pretty aged.Wang is the only young starter on either team. Closer-Yankees,Yes. Mets No. Guess who is older?

Its a shame the Mets don't sign big ticket free agents. Just think where this team might be if only they had signed a Pedro,a Beltran,a Wagner,a Floyd,a Delgado,a La Duca,a Trascial, ect, ect. Guess we'll never know as the Mets don't play that game.

you're the typical Yankee Fan.....you've long ago lost your ability to be objective and have replaced it with chest-thumping, block-headedness and a misplaced sense of entitlement.

So where's your Reyes and Wright?
Well, there is Jeter, Posade, Williams, Rivera, Cano, Wang, Cabrera. And in our title run years, you could add Pettitte too and I am sure that I am forgeting some as well.
